The constant redrawing of the mouse trails is effectively hiding the bug from view. More often than not, after I leave the BIOS screen it usually just goes to a black screen with a flashing cursor. Rick I forgot to mention that I reinstalled windows so all updates are recent. Three times with two different USB devices, a flash drive, and a card reader.
