It's only happened once since then, and again it was after I restarted. I was getting ready to reinstall, when I tried rebooting the machine without networking in safemode. I only implemented this suggestion about 30 minutes ago, but I've restarted my machine multiple times so I'm pretty sure this is a solid fix action. Ended up replacing it with the McAfee version that ATT offers for U-Verse customers and the problems were gone. his comment is here
