Windows vista in response has halted any form of text to be displayed upon start-up. I sat in front of a PC for 5 or 10 minutes wondering why it wouldn't boot - disks spun, lights blinked.. Any suggestions for my desktop running 7? I checked at the Microsoft tech support site and here’s what they suggest as ways to fix this frustrating problem: Make sure that a sound device is installed on your computer;

In the Advanced Audio properties under audio tab, modem #1line playback was selected instead of Vinyl AC'97 Audio Wave. Once reported, our moderators will be notified and the post will be reviewed. While the video is playing, click on Audio >> Audio Track and select disable.
- I however checked and found that in the speakers dialogue box, Dolby speakers were selected instead of desktop stereo speakers.
- Now click Recording, and tick the following: Stereo Mix; CD Player; Line-In ; Microphone.
- Are you experiencing this with *all* audio, or just YouTube?

Click on Save to save the settings. I'm looking at the g-15 page to see if there are any other keys "the kid" might have clicked that are predefined for sound operations.

I shared where in WMP we have to check to see if we selected the right speakers. Now look at the bottom right of VLC media player.
